William W. Payson
1930 – 2022
William Payson, husband of Dorothy A. Payson of Miramichi passed away on March 10, 2022, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital at the age of 91.
Born in Windsor, ON, on September 19, 1930, he was the son of the late Nellas and Claire Amelia (Godin) Payson. He worked for Canada Systems Group in Mississauga, ON for many years. He was a Peacekeeper in the Canadian Army and was stationed in Belgium, Congo, the Middle East and Northern Canada. He was a member St. Paul’s Anglican Church.
William is survived by his wife, Dorothy A. Payson; one daughter, Bonnie Heatherington (Kim) of Milton, ON; one son, William Jr. Payson of Edmundston; one sister, Priscillia Payson of USA; four grandchildren: Thomas, Rachel, Amanda, and Colin; and his great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents.
At William’s request there will be no visitation. A funeral service will occur at St. Paul’s Anglican Church at a later date. Interment will occur at St. Paul’s Anglican Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
