In Loving Memory of Yvon Leacock
1956 – 2026
Yvon Leo Joseph Leacock of Brantville, New Brunswick, and formerly of Ontario, passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on January 11, 2026, at the age of 69.
Born in Iroquois Falls, Ontario, on May 5, 1956, he was the son of the late Henry and Veronica (Bechard) Leacock. He was a miner by trade and worked as a hoist man. In his personal time, Yvon had a deep love for model railroading, building miniature models, and anything related to airplanes. He was also drawn to boats and the ocean, appreciating the beauty, freedom, and craftsmanship of all things connected to the water. These passions reflected his patience, curiosity, and love for detailed workmanship.
Yvon is survived by his wife, Elizabeth (Baker) Leacock; his children: sons, David and Tim; daughter, Jaydee; and step-children; several grandchildren; step-grandchildren; and step-great-grandchildren; three sisters: Susanne, Deeds, and Kim; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents and his brother, Marc.
As per Yvon’s wishes, there will be no visitation. A celebration of life will be held at a later date in the summer.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to cousin Raymond, his wife, Joanne, and cousin Yvonne for their love, kindness, and unwavering support.
Arrangements are entrusted to Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., Miramichi, New Brunswick, telephone (506) 773-3492. Memories and condolences may be shared online at www.adamsfh.ca
