In Loving Memory of Yvonne Comeau

1937 – 2025

 

Mary “Yvonne” Comeau of Miramichi, New Brunswick, passed away at the Mount St. Joseph on December 11, 2025, at the age of 88.

 

Born in Loggieville, New Brunswick on March 6, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Elizabeth (Kenny) Comeau.  She attended St. Michael’s Basilica.

 

Yvonne is survived by three sisters: Geraldine Byrnes, Gertrude Laviolette and Marion (Babe) Bensen; one brother, Bob Comeau; as well as many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased her parents and brother, Andrew.

 

At the request of the family there was no visitation.  A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Michael’s Basilica, 10 Howard St., Miramichi, New Brunswick on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at 11 AM with The Reverend Father John Fraser as Celebrant.  Music for the service was provided by Mrs. Norma Sugden and St. Michaels' Choir and the hymns were "Peace Is Flowing", "Rest In God Alone", "I, The Lord", "Prayer of St. Francis", "Songs Of The Angels", and "In To Your Hands".  The scripture readings were read by cousins: Diane Robichaud and Helen Land.  The Prayers Of The Faithful was proclaimed by brother, Bob Comeau.  Interment will be in St. Andrew’s Catholic Cemetery later in the spring.

 

As expressions of sympathy, donations to Mount St. Joseph would be appreciated by the family.
