Robert Colyn

1941 – 2019

Robert Colyn of Retirement Miramichi passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Monday evening, January 21, 2019 at the age of 77.

Born in Leiden, Netherlands, on September 6, 1941, he was the son of the late Ton and Nellie (Bergman) Colyn.  He was a retired Respiratory Therapist and a Christian reformed by faith.

He is survived by daughter: Carole; sons: Christopher and Andrew; grandchildren: Amanda and Neve; and sister: Susan.  He was predeceased by his parents.

As per Robert’s request there will be no visitation or funeral service held.  Interment will be held later in the spring.

Sorry to hear of Bob`s passing . When I lived on Winnipeg CR. , we often had a chat and a beverage .. He was also a popular member of The Prostate Support Group .

I met Robert for just a few days on his trip to the Rockies in 2018. We had a great time on the Rocky Mountaineer and I was impressed by his indomitable spirit. I’m sad to hear that he is no longer with us - I am sure he would have enjoyed more adventures had he been well enough.

i was saddened to hear of Robert's passing. i worked with Robert at Charlotte County Hospital. he was a good respiratory technician and a great work colleague. may you rest in peace Robert.
